continued working on the face and tried to get rid of some of the symmetry like you said. i've kinda been stalling on her body and clothes bc i'm terrible and also those chicken feet took a lot out of me ill get to it eventually. update: made her earrings update added detail to the earrings, appended them a some extra ones, did some more work on the face

the weekend update...

Image
im just gonna use this post for the vague weekend homework assignment and just update it every now and then. sculpted a head during class because honestly, trying to sculpt the head that was already on the body was kind of a pain in the ass so I'll probably just attach this one later seeing as I got pretty far with it during class, I'll work on the body horror chicken feet later update: gave up on modeling the feet straight onto the body bc it was way too warpy. not sure what i was doing wrong but it was ridic. anyway, I used zspheres to make a foot to append later update: added toenails update: extracted a shirt but tbh that's as far as i can get with the clothes thing it's still kind of confusing tbh. I also appended the feet

the eldritch horror body

just finished the makehuman model/mock-up-y thingie for this. got pretty far, but I still gotta sculpt those legs. speaking of which i tried to give myself a headstart with the model and wow that's horrifying..... will update soon update: k did some work on the forms in z-brush, got it, shape-wise at least, pretty close to how i wanted, plus I fixed the face since it got hella screwed up after i messed with her body with the move-topo and inflate brushes. will probably do more work on the face though, and honestly, the chicken feet are still kind of a disaster, but I'll work on that.

lineup and updated moodboard

did this need to be colored? bc like... i could not for the life of me settle on a color scheme i liked. is that bad? i mean i'm gonna be sculpting it first anyway. idk i just wanted to get something up on the blog so i just opted for the lineart alrighty this is Jezibaba, she's a traveling witch based on the slavic baba yaga myth. her powers are tied to the moon, and while she's mostly good at heart, she's still a bit of a trickster if she feels someone deserves it. Before she began her travels, she was trapped in her home (which was, according to myth on top of giant chicken's feet), cursed to stay with it until she died, until she finally got so sick and tired of the isolation that she merged herself with her house in order to travel. basic appearance/whatnot: olive skin, very old, one eye is pale blue, the other is blind and shaped like a crescent moon, she has long, fine, straight white hair that hangs just past her knees, speaking of which, her legs/fee

ok so last class i sorta randomly sculpted a new face-- admittedly without a ref because i wasn't planning on doing anything with it-- but once I went back to it and messed around I kind of liked it better than my homework head from the other day so I decided to use him instead. here he is bald: ok here's the ref, I was using this a little loosely to be entirely honest: some in progress pics: getting this guy started was actually the worst. my laptop couldn't handle masking a hairline and extracting it so after an hour of failed attempts and furiously googling i ended up appending a sphere and sculpting from that instead  and the finished renders:

I'm in face hell someone help me

when you spend hours sculpting a face but cant seem to add detail for the life of you anyway apparently i have no idea how to add eyebrows and eyelids. lovin it. in progress shots: ref: aaaaaaand finally here is some greeble:
